Founded in 2021, Pearl Capital Investments is a Texas Registered Investment Advisor. Our firm seeks to generate returns for our clients through monetizing individual-equity and equity-market volatility.
Our investment strategy focuses on:
(i) investing in high-quality equities that satisfy our investment criteria, and
(ii) reducing the risks associated with “buy and hold” equity portfolio strategies by selling cash-secured puts and covered calls to manage per-share price discovery, generate current income from the collection of option premiums and dividends, and force disciplined capital/investment management.

MIKE PEARL
Founder, CEO, CIO
Mike Pearl has over 25 years' experience in finance and accounting.
Mike worked at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (Anadarko) for 17 years. Mike joined Anadarko in 2004 as Director, Corporate Tax. In 2008, he assisted in structuring the initial public offering of Anadarko's publicly traded subsidiary, Western Midstream Partners, LP (Western Midstream), as well as serving as its Chief Financial Officer until April 2009. Mike then served as Anadarko's Corporate Controller until 2013, at which point Mike assumed the role of Vice President, Finance, focusing on raising project financing for Anadarko's Mozambique natural-gas development. In 2016, Mike was named Vice President, Finance and Treasurer, and was serving as Senior Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations when Anadarko was acquired by Occidental Petroleum in 2019. Post-acquisition, Mike returned to Western Midstream and served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer until September 2020.
Prior to joining Anadarko, Mike worked for Ernst & Young LLP, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in corporate finance, tax, and accounting.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University. Mike also holds an MBA from Rice University where he was a Jones Scholar Award recipient. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
JOHN ELVIG

John Elvig has over 10 years of experience in finance and engineering focused on quantitative analysis, modeling, and valuation.
John began his career at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, working there for eight years in roles ranging from Planning Engineer to Finance Manager until Anadarko's acquisition by Occidental Petroleum in 2019. As an engineer, John performed numerical asset valuations and scenario planning for Anadarko's Mozambique LNG project. In his role as Finance Manager, John helped negotiate and secure financing for up to $15 billion dollars from international banks and Export Credit Agencies. During his eight years on the project, John helped the company achieve Final Investment Decision on one of the largest infrastructure investments in Africa.
Following his roles at Anadarko, John held additional roles as a Planning Engineer at Fieldwood Energy and Finance Director at NextDecade LNG. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, and an MBA from Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.
